CDCFIB Opens Portal for 2024/2025 Recruitment Status Check

By Admin June 13, 2026 34 Views

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the opening of its recruitment portal for applicants to check their status for the 2024/2025 intake, marking a key step forward after months of delays in the federal paramilitary recruitment process.

In a statement released to the public, the board said candidates who applied for positions across its agencies can access the portal from June 15 to June 20 via its official website. Applicants are required to log in using their application numbers to verify their recruitment status, upload necessary credentials, and select preferred dates for screening.

According to the board, candidates who are successfully shortlisted will proceed to the next phase of the process, which involves physical verification of documents. Officials emphasized that this stage is critical to ensuring transparency and merit-based selection.

“We urge all applicants to follow the official process strictly and avoid third-party interference,” a CDCFIB spokesperson said. “The entire recruitment exercise is free of charge, and candidates should be wary of fraudsters demanding payment or sharing unofficial links.”

The announcement comes as a relief to thousands of Nigerian youths who had been awaiting updates following earlier postponements that disrupted the recruitment timeline. The delays had sparked frustration among applicants, many of whom rely on such opportunities amid rising unemployment and limited job prospects.

Recruitment exercises into federal paramilitary services, covering the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Immigration Service, have historically attracted large volumes of applicants, often exposing logistical challenges in managing nationwide screening.

Analysts say the board’s renewed push to complete the process could help restore confidence in the system, particularly after past concerns over transparency and coordination.

Applicants are advised to access only the official CDCFIB recruitment portal and ensure all submissions are completed within the stipulated deadline, as late entries may not be considered.

As the process moves into the screening phase, attention will now shift to how efficiently the board manages verification exercises across the country, a step widely seen as decisive in shaping public trust in the recruitment exercise.
